Before it was fashionable to tap
political figures as product endorsers,
Ate Glo had already blazed the trail.
Here are three radio commercials I produced in 1997
featuring Ate Glo and the FG. The couple came to my
home studio at exactly 9:30 AM as scheduled (no wang-wangs,
no escorts) and after the modest breakfast I had prepared...
the two plunged into the recording session with gusto.
My only beef (then) was her disconcerting habit of
shaking the hands of everyone who crosses her path.
(She shook the hand of my maid three times.)
Those were the days when her popularity was
up, up there... untouchable. How times have changed!
For whatever it's worth... a blast from the past.
